Leasing Manager

The objective of this role is to collaborate with the Head of Retail and Asset Management to strategize and negotiate retail leasing contracts across the Airport.
The key responsibility will be to lead negotiations, prepare commercial offers, leases, licences and agreements associated with the Commercial Property business (predominantly retail) to maximize revenue.
With the aviation and travel sector experiencing significant growth, along with major projects that will drive the future development of Melbourne Airport and Victoria, now is an exciting time to be part of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Negotiating new deals and renewals across all terminals
- Reviewing performance of existing tenants
- Recommending whether to renew or replace tenant
- Identifying short list of appropriate retailers
- Negotiating with interested parties to secure optimal deal
- Documenting terms on formal offer to be signed by retailer
- Assisting Legal department in preparation of lease and follow ups with retailer
Candidates should possess a tertiary qualification in business, commerce, project/asset management or similar. Additionally, they should have detailed knowledge of the retail leases act and 3+ years of retail leasing experience in shopping centres, airports or other retail. Proven negotiation skills and ability to develop effective partnerships are also essential.
