What you will enjoy doing An exciting opportunity has become available for a permanent full time Diesel Mechanic based in our workshop located at our Smithfield site.
You will carry out routine and specialist diagnosis of vehicle/plant failures and implement resolutionsExperience working on Kenworth, Mack, Volvo, UD, Isuzu & HinoIn addition, the ability to ensure compliance to NHVAS requirements while meeting WHS regulationsAbility to handle busy situations of in-coming work and adapt to the demands of an ever-changing confliction of prioritiesFurthermore, ability to assist in managing and ordering parts as required and to build positive relationships with Employees, Suppliers and CustomersWhat makes you great You hold relevant trade qualification - Heavy Duty Mechanic (Please apply even if you are in your 3rd year or 4th year apprentice)Car Licence is essential, HR Licence and MC Licensce is desirableDangerous Good Licence, Forklift High Risk Licence and Working at heights are desirableConfined Space Training/Competency is desirableExcellent interpersonal communication skills and a solid drive to lead by exampleYou have current knowledge of industry sector and working practices of heavy-duty plant/vehicle maintenance and repairsWhy you will love working with us ELGAS operates the largest LPG transport fleet in Australia through Select Logistics and Transport which are all part of the Linde family.
