About the role

Macfarlane Generators Pty Ltd, a leading provider of power generation solutions, is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Diesel Fitter to join our dynamic team based in Seven Hills, NSW. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and repair of diesel generator equipment, playing a crucial part in ensuring our clients have reliable power.

What you'll be doing
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of diesel generators, engines and related equipment
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engine faults and malfunctions
  • Carry out scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers as required
  • Collaborate with the wider technical team to ensure efficient operations
  • Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
What we're looking for
  • Formal qualifications in Diesel Mechanics or a related field
  • Extensive experience as a Diesel Mechanic/Diesel Fitter, ideally within the power generation industry
  • Strong working knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel, air, cooling and electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
