**About the role**

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for shaping communities and driving growth? We're seeking a dynamic Marketing & Brand Manager to lead Parramatta Council's marketing, promotions, and communications initiatives. In this pivotal role, you'll champion our brand, tell our story, and drive innovative strategies to shift perception and behaviour with our strategic vision.
- On a daily basis you will: _
- Develop and lead programs, partnerships, and services to drive economic growth and enhance community experiences in Parramatta.
- Shape marketing and communications plans with key stakeholders and integrate Council's marketing & brand opportunities.
- Lead the marketing & promotional activities with a data-driven and digital-first mindset, optimising communications, content and creative development.
- Manage the Council and City brand strategies, ensuring adherence to brand protocols and guidelines.
- Provide advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, with a community first mindset.
- Manage and oversee the marketing budget in line with Council processes and ensure value for money
- Lead the marketing strategy for Riverside Theatres, Parramatta Aquatic Centre, and our Libraries.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of professionals to drive accountability and alignment towards organisational goals.
- Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
- Foster effective relationships with external partners and stakeholders, promoting diversity and inclusion in all practices.

**About You**
- Degree qualifications in marketing, communications, or related fields, with post-graduate qualifications desirable.
- Current driver's license.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, demonstrating a track record of achieving strategic objectives.
- 5+ years of experience in leading diverse, multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-standard services.
- Extensive experience in digital marketing practices and branding for large organisations.
- Superior communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence others effectively.
- Strong writing and proofreading skills across multiple channels, including media articles, speeches, and presentations.
- Analytical prowess to interpret data and communicate insights effectively.
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in resolving complex issues and conflicts.
- Highly developed change management leadership skills within complex stakeholder environments.
- Exceptional commercial acumen and experience in interpreting quantitative and qualitative data.
- Desirable: Experience in tourism development and product evaluation strategies.

**What's on offer**

We are offering an attractive remuneration from $149,428 to 165,645 plus 11.5% superannuation.
