VCAT serves the community by resolving civil and administrative disputes and making decisions in human rights and guardianship cases. VCAT has embarked on a digitally-enabled service transformation focused on delivering enhanced online services for our users, end to end digital workflows in all our lists, and building an empowered and capable workforce who are receptive and ready for change.The People Culture and Wellbeing (PCW) function is responsible for ensuring that VCAT's workforce has the appropriate culture, health and wellbeing plan, capability and organisation design to meet the strategic objectives of VCAT.
The People and Culture Adviser is the first point of contact and is responsible for:
- Providing responsive, sound advice to staff and Members on a wide range of PCW matters as per the Enterprise Agreement, policies and procedures
- Performing general administrative tasks across a range of PCW activities along with preparing and providing analysis on reporting for the Senior Manager, PCW
- Manage the delivery of high volume, diverse recruitment and contract administration processes in close collaboration with PCW Team, including delivering effective guidance and support in the management of operational issues that impact on staff resources and recruitment
- Support the development, review and roll out of PCW initiatives, policies, procedures and strategies that support safety, wellbeing, recruitment, retention and career development of all employees
- End to end management of the employee life cycle with a large focus on managing our induction and onboarding processes.
**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in P&C providing advice on a broad range of P&C matters including administrative services and support, with an understanding of policies, Enterprise Agreement and legislative framework
- Demonstrated experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to deliver client centric results
- Demonstrated experience working with a people management system, preferably Chris21
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and experience providing services in a diverse environment.
