Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Engineering Leader
to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving high standards in engineering design and project execution, while also providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
This position is responsible for contributing to the strategic direction, technical oversight, and successful delivery of a wide range of projects. With a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and collaboration, the Engineering Leader works closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure that project objectives are met and that technical excellence is maintained across all stages of work.
Key Responsibilities:
The review, design, construction and remediation of tailings structures at all stages of the project, including pre-feasibility, feasibility, detailed design and construction stages.
Undertaking desk based studies utilising data and information from a variety of sources.
Undertaking scoping and pre-feasibility studies.
Design and supervision of waste facilities.
Project management and co-ordination.
Report and proposal writing.
Mentoring a team of engineers as required.
Our Ideal Candidate
A degree qualified in Engineering with either Geotechnical or Civil specialisations.
Previous experience in the design, build and maintenance of Tailings Storage Facilities.
Competent report and proposal writing skills requiring strong written skills.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work well with clients.
Strong ability to manage multiple projects and clients, delivering design services on time and within budget, to client satisfaction.
Strong technical ability in tailings management, geotechnics, heap leaching and water management.
Ability to review reports and analyses, and carry out audits.
Ability to manage people, technical teams and mentor engineering staff.
Demonstrated leadership and business development experience.
A minimum of 10+ years relevant applied experience.
