**About the role**

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Portfolio Analyst to join our Product and Distribution team on a full-time permanent basis.

The Portfolio Analyst will assist in overseeing RACQ's Insurance Portfolio by utilising a modern and comprehensive grasp of product performance factors. The role involves identifying and conveying potential strategies to capitalise on opportunities or resolve any existing issues within the Portfolio.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide analysis and reporting on competitor and market data to support performance against member and financial goals.
- Maintain a program of regular engagement with key internal stakeholders.
- Educate, enable and assist staff to understand portfolio performance, portfolio levers and emerging issues and opportunities.
- Understand and identify emerging issues and opportunities in the RACQ portfolio from channel dynamics (including opportunity and conversion), through price and product positioning and comparability, to claims trends and cost containment dynamics.
- Maintain contemporary understanding of regulatory requirements and consider implications for RACQ on emerging trends or changes.
- Understand leading and lagging indicators/ metrics across the portfolio.
- Monitor industry developments in Australia and abroad and identify implications for RACQ.

**About You**
- 5-7 years relevant experience
- Experience in presenting outcomes of analysis and influencing sound decision making among peers and management.
- Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical individuals.
- Experience in managing a variety of stakeholders from across the insurance value chain and all levels of management.
- Knowledge of common insurance metrics and drivers of portfolio performance.
- Ability to show sound judgement, be objective and impartial in recommendations and advice.
