We will change what it means to be a professional in our industry and we hope you will join us and play a part in achieving our goal.ResponsibilitiesPreparation of flood studies, floodplain management plans and risk assessmentsCommunication of flood conditions, government compliance requirements and the impacts of proposed development on flood conditions for upstream and downstream propertiesManage communications between clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders while ensuring the delivery of quality and timely solutionsCollaborate with other Orion teams to deliver various projects across QLDCoordination of resources including team members, third-party contractors and/or consultants to deliver projects according to the planEnsure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and standardsEnsure quality control processes are implemented and documentedAssist in managing project budgets, invoicing and variations where requiredBuild and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders both internal and externalAddress client queries and concerns in a timely and professional mannerSkills and ExpertiseBachelor of Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields6+ years of experience in civil engineering and flood management-related projectsStrong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and project management techniquesProficiency in TUFLOW, DRAINS/XP-Rafts, and MUSICStrong client management skills with the ability to work to deadlinesExcellent written communication and problem-solving skillsExperience using MS Office and MS Project (desirable)Employee BenefitsA range of flexible work optionsCommunity days and cultural celebrationsAccess to innovative technologyEmployee assistance programAnnual performance appraisal and learning & development plansRegular team-building activities, social activities, and team sportsPaid parental leaveThis role is open to Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents only (Including New Zealand Citizens).
