We are searching for someone who is passionate about food and cooking honest pub grub
Someone who understands the importance of quality and cooking the perfect Schnitzel or Salt and Pepper Squid whilst being creative and innovative.
The role will be providing support and ideas as reporting to the Head Chef playing a key role in the venue's growth and success.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, community-minded, and has a positive 'can-do' attitude.
ABOUT YOU If you thrive in a team environment, are open to new challenges, and enjoy working in a diverse environment, then we'd like to have you on our team
Minimum three years experience in a fast-paced kitchen, qualifications preferableModern, contemporary, and innovative culinary skillsKnowledge of food and catering trendsConsiders quality, technique, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation critical to successDelivers a high-quality product that not only meets but exceeds customer expectationsAdhere to work health and safety laws, food safety standards, and allergen requirementsMonitor costs across portion control, waste minimization, and stock management Ensure a premium and consistent approach to all levels of food and service deliveryAble to work autonomously as required and remain calm under pressure to ensure professionalism is maintained Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people (suppliers, customers, employees, and management)Have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a calm and methodical mannerAPPLYING Please have your resume ready to submit with any relevant qualifications and you will be asked a short series of questions.
