We have an immediate requirement for a
High Voltage Technician – Transformer
Specialist
to join our office in
Brisbane
on a permanent basis.

This role is a mix of local, office and field-based work and involves national travel on a project-to-project basis. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate strong theoretical and practical knowledge.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Commissioning and
Maintenance
testing
of
HV Power Transformers.
Construction, Assembly,
and repairs to
HV Power Transformers, Bushing installation/replacement, leak repairs onsite and in workshop environment.
Proven experience with application of vacuum and performing
Oil filtration/
degasification
.
Assist in preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, test plans and create detailed technical reports
upon
completion of works.
Carry out JSHAs etc. prior to commencing any new works to identify hazards and implement the necessary controls.
Primary Testing of HV/LV Transformers (i.e. Tan Delta/Voltage Ratio/Winding Resistance/Dielectric Response/SFRA, Oil Sampling)
Knowledge of Circuit breaker
and Switchboard testing
would be highly advantageous
Experience, skills and qualifications
Unrestricted QLD Electrical Fitter and Mechanics License
Minimum 4years' experience post trade.
Valid Driver's License.
HV Switching Ticket preferred.
Knowledge of appropriate Australian Standards.
Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
