The Salvation Army Youth Services offer an integrated suite of programs engaging with young people across Australia. Our services create intentional avenues for young people to explore opportunities, build support networks, and access, participate and contribute to their communities. Youth services provide a diverse range of programs which include housing and homelessness, driver training, education, employment and training, AOD support, social and community activities, specialist therapeutic responses and youth justice programs.
About the role
We are seeking a values driven To support the state manager and services in the implementation and ongoing delivery of the Model of Care. This includes all implementation of practice models and frameworks, leading practice changes in services, assessing, delivering, and supporting training needs, providing reflective practice and coaching. The role will actively collaborate and work with national team, including the National Specialist, as well as all similar state roles to ensure consistent and thorough implementation of models and frameworks.
You will successfully
- Support services to implement and deliver all aspects of the Model of Care and supporting frameworks
- Develop and deliver practice and development plans for all services
- Provide formal reflective practice to leadership teams
- Support staff to develop psychological understandings of service users with multiple and complex needs utilising the model of care and frameworks
- Build the capability of staff to respond to young people in line with the Model of Care including providing clear direction for practitioners on strategies to use with clients
- Build the capability of team leaders to deliver effective supervision and debriefing to their staff and to embed reflective practice across their team
- Works collaboratively with the National Youth Specialists
- Works collaboratively with all state practice leads
- Participates in and leads national working groups and communities of practice
This is a permanent part time role, based in Ingle Farm, SA. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS lvl 7.
You will have
- Degree qualification in psychology, social work or related fields
- Post graduate qualification would be highly regarded
- At least 7 years' experience in delivering therapeutic interventions with young people, with a minimum 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of therapeutic frameworks relating to young people and its implementation in practice Understanding of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) would be highly regarded
- Experience in change management
- Experience in implementing service models and frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in delivering reflective practice in both group and individual settings
- A national police record check is required
- A Working with Children Check is required
- Current driver's licence
