As Legal Counsel, you will advise on renewable energy transactions and projects and provide general legal support to the team.This role will see you advising on and negotiating a range of commercial matters, including:EPC contracts, supply and install contracts, balance of plant contracts, PPAs/offtake agreements, connection agreements, and O&M agreements, and advising on risk management activitiesland acquisitions and planning approvalsgeneral commercial contracts and matters, including NDAs, consultancy agreements, services agreements, disputesWhat you offerFully qualified lawyer with 4+ years PQEDemonstrated experience providing advice on energy or infrastructure projects in AustraliaExperience in large or specialised law firm and/or experience in-house at an energy or infrastructure companyDemonstrated ability advising on regulatory matters, including FIRB, Australian Financial Services Licences, Critical Infrastructure, Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism FinanceProven ability to prioritise and progress legal matters, escalate issues where needed, and ensure all decision makers are identified and briefed as appropriateCapability to manage external legal advisers, including managing the allocation of resources and skills between internal and external counsel and ensuring consistent, cost-effective legal supportDemonstrated commitment to driving continual improvement across the Aula Energy business by assisting with the design and use of precedent contracts, adopting new processes with a focus on simplification, and delivering training to the team.Strong communication skills with the ability to adjust messages for a range of audiencesAbility to influence outcomes independent of hierarchyStrong conceptual thinking/strategic analysis skillsAbility to apply legal and business experience to appropriately prioritise effort and characterise riskFlexibility to handle a diverse range of matters across all Business UnitsWe love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Aula Energy we encourage you to apply.BenefitsAula Energy employees can access a wide range of benefits which, depending on eligibility criteria and location, include:Hybrid and flexible working arrangementsWellbeing and service bonus leaveUp to 20 weeks paid parental leavePaid volunteer leaveRange of benefits to support your physical, mental and financial wellbeingAbout Aula EnergyAulaEnergyis a new Australian-headquartered renewable energy business.
