LUMEA is a Transgrid Group brand focused on renewable energy solutions in the competitive energy market.The Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing program controls and contract administration to manage and mitigate time, cost, and revenue risks associated with customer proposals and projects, ensuring the protection of project returnsWhat you will be doingThis role involves comprehensive contract management throughout the construction phase, including handling contractual variations, claims, and governance to ensure successful project delivery.
It requires close collaboration across teams by providing Contract Management Plans and best practice guidance during the handover from Lumea to project delivery teams.
Effective stakeholder engagement is essential, fostering strong working relationships with all parties involved.The role demands proactive problem-solving, supporting the development of commercial strategies, and leading critical negotiations.
It includes responsibility for meeting all audit, reporting, and regulatory obligations within required timeframes.
Additionally, the role addresses complex construction disputes and claims, leveraging deep industry expertise to identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies across the project lifecycle.About youMinimum of 10 years' experience in the construction and engineering industry, with significant experience as a Contracts Manager or Commercial Manager.Advanced interpersonal and negotiation skills (oral and written) to provide specialist technical and commercial advice during bid development and project delivery.Strong commercial background with understanding of the nuances in negotiation to help a bid team win new business, whilst balancing risk and governance.Extensive experience with preparation and close-out of construction claims.Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline and/or extensive appropriate experience in a capital-intensive industry including build, own, operate and maintain contracts.
