In partnership with the Australia Defence Force, we are seeking a **Bookings Clerk/Transport Driver **to join the team at** Graytown, **located near Heathcote.

Reporting to the Transport Coordinator, you will provide effective and efficient delivery of transport operation supervision and driving duties within an allocated geographical and client base.

**Key responsibilities of the role**:

- Operate and manage Ventia's fleet vehicles, designated Defence fleet vehicles and hired vehicles
- Ensure that vehicles and plant are tasked as per the IAW Defence policy and procedures
- Ensure that all fleets and equipment are serviced and maintained regularly IAW current servicing schedules including Complete Equipment Schedule (CES) and special fleet task stores
- Review and ensure operators and vehicles usage data are entered and recorded into the most appropriate defence systems data base
- Provide a transport booking service for self-drive vehicles, driver or driver and vehicle.
- Plan day to day operational transport activities as contractually required

**To considered for this position you will need**:

- Experience in loading and unloading of cargo and goods
- Able to work effectively with people from diverse national, cultural, linguistic and religious/spiritual backgrounds and to deal with sensitive issues in a manner that is respectful of people's individual dignity, cultural values and religious beliefs.
- Well-developed computer skills.
- Results focused with the ability to identify and prioritise problems and issues, generate solutions and work collaboratively to achieve a successful outcome.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with a high degree of motivation, energy, initiative, and commitment, with the capacity to deal with multiple and often conflicting priorities.

You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and Medical Pre-Employment Checks as required by the contract.
