Mars is seeking a Trade Compliance Country Manager - ANZ to join our team in this newly created position.Join Mars and be a key driver of cost avoidance and penalty mitigation, contributing to over $50M+ in savings.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Trade & Customs Compliance, you will shape the future of trade compliance, collaborate with a global team, and work with an inspiring manager.What you'll do:Be the trade compliance expert for Australia and New Zealand, acting as the primary contact with freight forwarders, government agencies, and customs brokers.Design and implement compliance programs that meet or exceed standards.Conduct audits and develop strategies for cost avoidance.Lead initiatives in duty drawback and free trade agreements.Train Mars Associates on new trade policies to foster compliance champions.What we are looking for:Specialized knowledge in trade and customs compliance regulations for Australia/NZ.Minimum of 7+ years of experience in trade and customs compliance.Strong experience in complex CPG, legal, or consulting environments.5+ years of relevant experience.Broker's License or Degree/Certificate in Compliance, International Logistics, Law, or related fields preferred.Australian citizenship is required.What you can expect from Mars:Work with over 140,000 diverse and talented Associates guided by the Five Principles.Join a purpose-driven company committed to building a better tomorrow.Access to industry-leading learning and development, including Mars University.Competitive salary and benefits, including a company bonus.Dogs are welcome in the office
