We're seeking a skilled Draftsperson to produce accurate and high-quality drawings that support our construction teams, sales consultants, and clients throughout the build journeyWhat We Offer YouBe part of a proudly South Australian company with a strong reputation for qualityWork in a supportive and collaborative team environmentContribute to innovative residential designs and construction processesBe part of a growing business with a strong reputation in the industryRole overviewReporting to the Design Manager, you'll be responsible for preparing planning drawings, working drawings, and final construction sets, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency at every stage.
You'll work closely with multiple departments, supervisors, and occasionally directly with clients, to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with Regent Homes' high standards.Main ResponsibilitiesProduce accurate planning drawings, working drawings, and final construction sets.Review and approve timber framing layouts and structural steel documentation.Collaborate with estimation, selections, and construction teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Support continuous improvement of design and construction methodologies.Ensure compliance with council requirements, industry standards, and governance bodies.Attend and contribute to client design meetings as required.Deliver drawings that balance creativity, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.What you will bringA minimum Diploma qualification in Building DesignAt least 3 years' experience in a Drafting role in the housing and construction industryPreferred experience with ArchiCAD, however not essentialSound knowledge of the National Construction and Australian standards & codesStrong understanding of building design concepts and proceduresSolid understanding of building specifications, materials, and construction practicesAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with proven time management and organisational skillsHigh attention to detailExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of peopleAbility to show initiativeCollaborative working approachTo be part of a passionate team designing exceptional homes apply now by uploading your resume addressing the above criteria.
