About the role
- We're seeking a Network Operator to work within the Network Operations Centre (NOC) as a member of an on-site multi-disciplinary Operations team. As a Network Operator, you will be managing traffic flow and incidents across a high-speed road and tunnel network in South East Queensland.

You'll join an innovative team, who remain calm and confident under pressure, and are constantly identifying appropriate actions to be undertaken to ensure safe and quick resolutions.

You'll contribute to lasting and positive changes that shape the future of our cities and communities. It's meaningful, challenging and exciting work.

Day-to-day, you will:
- Use integrated Operations Management Control System (IOMCS) to optimise traffic flow and manage incidents- Coordinate traffic response, manage ITS devices, and liaise with service providers for network performance- Work with various Operations teams to ensure efficient traffic flow, safe travel, and effective incident management- Facilitate maintenance issue management and respond to alarms or alerts, disseminating information to relevant teams- Maintain required certifications and complete refresher training to demonstrate job proficiency- Prepare reports of incidents or events following established procedures and KPIs- Ensure accurate recording of road network conditions and hazards, providing complete handover information to oncoming shifts

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
- Quick thinking and problem-solving skills to manage incidents and resources, while staying calm in high pressure and stressful situations- Knowledge in traffic operations, including the concepts, practices, and procedures involved in managing open road and tunnel asset- Experience in emergency management practises- Experienced in control room and operations center environments- Proficient use of standard computer programs and an ability to learn unique IT systems quickly- A high level of written and verbal communication skills- Detail-oriented professional with demonstrated experience in preparing reports- Flexibility to work hours during peak workload demands as required- A current driver's license and transport to our control room sitesWith a career at Transurban, you'll enjoy a range of benefits, including:
