**The Opportunity**:
The Brand Manager role is to support and implement the overall Tomato & Ambient Meals category strategy with a focus on the core brands of SPC & Ardmona.

Reporting into the Marketing Manager (Tomatoes & Ambient Meals) you will be responsible for implementing effective marketing plans incorporating; brand, communications, new product development and promotional activation to establish distribution, build brand equity and drive profitable growth. You will also use consumer and market research, product analysis, and customer feedback to recognise opportunities for advancing the brand across a range of products and categories.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Brand Strategy, Planning & Management**
- Drive the implementation of the marketing strategy & executional plans that will support the commercial team to deliver sales and profit targets.
- Management of all elements of the marketing mix including product development, pricing, consumer and trade marketing initiatives.
- Effective collaboration & communication of plans to key stakeholders to gain support and commitment to activities.
- Supporting the creative development of packaging, advertising, consumer and trade promotions, communication and channel strategies
- Prepare post campaign reports (PCR) on delivery of KPI's and ROI.
- Development a marketing database of competitor pricing, product distribution, sponsorships, merchandising materials, and media activity.
- Effectively managing agreed marketing budget and monthly reporting.
- As custodian of the brand/s ensure that there are clear brand guidelines and consistency across all communication touchpoints.

**Consumer Engagement**:

- Champion the consumer, ensuring they are at the centre of business thinking.
- Use an insight to action approach, ensuring that all marketing plans and communication are underpinned with strong consumer insight and category/research data.
- Collaborate with Customer Care on all plans to ensure that we minimise complaints, capture consumer feedback and action appropriately.

**Communication Strategy Development & Implementation**
- Develop and implement communication campaigns across relevant channels to reach the right consumer audience to deliver marketing objectives.
- Brief agency partners effectively and manage and collaborate to ensure a strong working relationship.
- Ensure that all communication content and creative is aligned to brand guidelines.
- Measure and track all campaigns to ensure that they achieve objectives.

**Innovation and New Product Development**
- Identify portfolio needs and support the development of an NPD pipeline based on consumer/customer insight, market dynamics and overall business requirements.
- Work closely with R&D and operations teams, third party suppliers and consultants, to ensure products meet nutritional, sensory and quality standards. Securing approval from regulatory bodies before launching products, where required.
- Keep up to date with market insights and new technology that can help secure competitive advantage for the category.
- Support the management of NPD via monthly Stage Gate process and lead project teams to deliver innovation to agreed timelines.
- Track and report performance of new product launches and recommend any corrective actions, if necessary.

**Leadership & Team Management**
- Proactively build a positive team environment aligned with SPC values.
- Build partnerships and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

**Budget**
- Support the management of A&P budget for Tomatoes & Ambient Meals, with high accuracy.
- Tertiary qualifications in business with a major in Marketing or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years in marketing and brand management.
- FMCG or Consumer Goods experience preferred.
- Proven track record of brand positioning and brand strategy process.
- Proven track record of successful project management and collaboration with key functions such as R&D, Procurement, Finance, Sales and Production.
- Experience in NPD ideation and execution - from concept development using the Stage Gate process.
- Experience in communication campaign development and media plan management - digital marketing & social media management.
- Experience using IRI or Quantium to analysis portfolio performance (preferred).
- High level interpersonal and communication skills.
- Agile mindset and readiness to learn.
