**About you**

You don't need any specific qualifications or experience for this role, although if you have worked in a kitchen, takeaway restaurant, or factory environment before, that will definitely interest us.

**About us**

We are Big Loaf Factory Bakery, and we make some of the best baked goods in Perth - we're not afraid to say so. We love food and we have a vision to create a world where people eat better. We do this by producing products which are simple, but the quality of ingredients makes them remarkable.

We are the engine room behind North Street Store, Little Loaf, and Peoples Cafeteria, with 2 more two more locations in the works, and supplier to a range of cafes and restaurants throughout Perth. Yes, that means you will need to work with the smell of freshly baked sourdough and cinnamon scrolls each and every day - we are sorry.

The factory team includes bakers, pastry chefs, chefs, drivers, and cleaners; along with our newly opened retail counter. We all work together, and you will get the chance to see how everything combines to build a suite of products that customers know and love.

We work hard, but we also like to have fun while we're at it - you'd better be ok with belting out the bangers, as we spend the days with the music cranking. While there is a high-volume workload, we all enjoy coming to work, and genuinely enjoy each other's company, even outside of work. When you work here, you feel part of something that is truly special.

**The job**

Full-time permanent position with 4 weeks leave per year.

This job is a critical part of maintaining our food quality standards, and you have a direct impact on ensuring the health and safety of the whole team. There is a lot of variety, and we don't expect you will ever get bored General tasks will include:

- Cleaning dishes and baking/cooking equipment
- Cleaning industrial ovens
- Sweeping and hosing floors
- Unpacking trucks and staking crates
- Assisting with unloading and storage of stock

You can also expect to do a bit of kitchen hand work as well. In fact, if you are interested in a career in pasty or baking, this could be a step towards a career. We already have one amazing baker who started off in this role, and we believe in developing our employees and giving them opportunities to grow.

This is a full-time job, which will include weekends. Our goal is for you to work 38 hours a week plus breaks, but you should also be prepared for a bit of overtime as well.

We have both a day shift and an afternoon/evening shift, and you may be rostered on either.

We pay at least award rates and all penalties, we provide delicious staff meals daily, and you are welcome to all the coffee you can handle as well.

**Salary**: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
