Overview
SMCP is seeking a proactive, people-focused Human Resources Advisor to support the effective delivery of HR services across its Australian operations.
You'll manage day-to-day HR operations and provide timely, quality support to leaders and employees across the full employee lifecycle.
This is a newly created, hands-on role suited to a junior to mid-level HR Advisor, ideally with Retail industry experience.
You'll join a collaborative team where your ideas are valued.
This is a full-time role based in our Sydney Headquarters in Bondi Junction.
Responsibilities
HR Administration across the full employee lifecycle
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and leaders on general HR queries
Provide practical, timely, and accurate advice to leaders on all people-related matters
Coordinate the onboarding process, from documentation to supporting a seamless first day experience for new hires
Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies & procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation
Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
Assist with the development and delivery of HR initiatives and projects
Support with end-to-end recruitment activities
Qualifications
2-3 years' experience in an HR Advisory role, ideally within the Retail industry
Tertiary qualification in HR (or working towards)
Knowledge of relevant employment legislation and HR best practices
Ability to interpret Modern Awards – experience with the Retail Award is a plus
Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation
Strong time management, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with data analytics is a plus
