Planning Advisor job in Melbourne for a respectable statutory authority.

**Your new company**

A statutory authority responsible for protecting the environment. You'll work with the Permissioning and Development division based in Melbourne.

**Your new role**

Reporting to the Team Leader, Statutory Planning Advisory, you'll:

- Provide planning advice on the environmental protection framework, including Planning Panels and the Victorian Administrative Appeals Tribunal (VCAT)
- Provide support to planning officers within state and local government, including advice on structure and precinct plans, planning scheme amendments or process to ensure the prevention of harm to the environment and human health is considered up front in land use planning

**What you'll need to succeed**

You'll have qualifications in Urban Planning and Environment, Statutory Urban Planning, or equivalent, as well as:

- Experience in land use planning, preferably within government
- Knowledge of the Environment Protection Act 2017, Environmental Effects Act 1978, and Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) Act 1990
- Demonstrated capability to plan, monitor and deliver services and support consistent with organisational priorities, including risk identification and management, budget development and management; optimise the allocation and use of resources; and evaluate project /program effectiveness
