**About the role**:
This is your opportunity to establish a new team within one of Australia's leading Insurers. The Third-Party Risk Manager will be fundamental in the selection and performance of team members to ensure a collaborative and high functioning group.

The Third-Party Risk Management team will be responsible for meeting the requirements of the Operational Risk Management Standard and the third-party risk oversight required by this Standard. This includes reducing severe-rated risks related to Data Enablement and Cyber Data Attack. Specifically, you will partner and drive an uplift in risk management practices across the management of Third-Parties.

**What you'll do**:

- Provide guidance to business, Procurement and LoD1 stakeholders regarding third-party risk management;
- Provide consistent guidance as to the minimum required assessments & ongoing management activities for third-parties engaged via the Procurement team;
- Manage various internal stakeholders hand-offs across the risk and security assessment process
- Provide consistent end-to-end third party-risk management of third-parties engaged via the Procurement team
- Drive regulatory management and change activity (linking to things such as UCT, Sanctions & AB&C, Privacy, CPS230)
- Responsibility for operationalising third-party risk frameworks to deliver high quality and valuable risk programs of support to improve financial, customer and compliance performance;
- Contribute to the ongoing delivery of the Technology & Operations team culture and strategy.

**What you'll bring**:

- Minimum 10 years' experience in insurance, banking, of financial services
- Minimum 5 years third party risk management experience or similar discipline
- Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring for high performance
- Experience balancing multiple key deliverables in a dynamic environment
- Strong relationship management and problem solving skills
- Strong negotiation skills demonstrated across internal stakeholder management contexts
- Excellent presentation and written & verbal communication skills, both oral and written, to technical and business audiences (particularly the ability to effectively explain and convey messages at the senior executive level)
- High level of flexibility with the ability to adapt to change
