**About the role**:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager is a key role in the business providing analysis on new strategic activities and business plans such as mergers, acquisitions, and other growth opportunities. A key deliverable is the preparation of business reporting to internal & external stakeholders and ownership of the business forecast and budgets.

Other responsibilities include:
**Business Management, Reporting & Budgets**
- Work with the business to develop budgets, forecasts and KPIs. Be a business partner to the various business units, providing them with relevant financial support and insights.
- Develop and improve monthly reporting and provide insightful commentary to various stakeholders.
- Plan and coordinate the Annual Budget with the BU Operational Heads, integrating it into an Excel model that can then be used for analysis & scenarios.
- Preparing business unit P&L's and capex reporting, compared to budget, in conjunction with meeting monthly with BU leaders to assist their decision making.
- Holding the internal stakeholders accountable for meeting the set KPIs including using these as a basis for future forecasts and budgets.
- Entering data into the Business Investment Model, understanding the impact of these inputs, and analysing the results of the model.
- Ad hoc reporting as required from time to time.

**Board Reporting & Business Growth**
- Preparing business insights, analytical commentary, detailing trends and answering queries for the monthly Board pack.
- Producing and continuously improving the monthly Board reporting pack having scope through the analysis & commentary to provide insights, heighten understanding and add value for the Board.
- Providing development appraisals, forecast and other ad hoc board reports.
- Analyse the impact of investment opportunities on CDC's valuation, funding requirements etc.
- Preparing modelling and responding to information requests and reporting for any transactions, re-financing, and valuations.
- Preparation of up to date forecasts and supporting information and analysis for external valuers for the routine valuation of CDC's equity, management incentive schemes and investment properties.
- Respond to questions from financial partners, shareholders, investment analysts, financial institutions, potential investors, executives, auditors, public officials, etc in a timely manner.

**About You**:

- Demonstrated ability of being proactive and able to work independently and in a small-medium team working to clear deadlines and under pressure.
- Highly motivated with a proven record of successful achievement. This includes the ability to achieve specific goals, objectives, and deadlines within the limits of the resources available.
- Experience with advanced Excel functionality particularly skills associated to investment management principles (IRR's, NPV, etc.), cash flow, model architecture and scenario analysis.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant from an internationally recognized accounting body preferably with Big 4 experience.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Interest in technology, systems, and efficient processes.
- Willingness to add value and seek to speak up and improve the business processes.

**Essential**:

- Australian citizenship and ability to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance
