
Redress Client Officer

The roleThe Redress Unit has responsibility for leading and managing Queensland Health's participation in the National Redress Scheme for people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse. The unit leads and coordinates, as central contact on behalf of the department, the participation of Queensland Health entities in the National Redress Scheme and is the interface with the Queensland State government lead agency, the Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs (DCYJMA). The unit is also responsible for the establishment of frameworks and policies for the management of future similar schemes for the department, and oversight for the management of related civil child sexual abuse litigation matters.
**Key responsibilities of the Redress Client Officer include**:
- assist in advising, supporting and providing client services to Hospital and Health Services and other stakeholders in a review, development, implementation, monitoring and reporting on insurance and redress initiatives.
- maintain confidentiality and professionalism surrounding sensitive issues.
- assist in the preparation of complex data reporting, providing analysis and risk strategies to key stakeholders, including in-depth knowledge of the relevant databases.
- prepare clear and concise correspondence to key stakeholders so that a continual flow of information is provided as imposed by legislative requirements and timeframes.
**The successful personYou will have**:
- Proven ability to recognise, analyse and communicate issues and recommend successful solutions that lead to operational improvements.
- Demonstrated knowledge and a high proficiency to utilise relevant collections of data.
- Demonstrated ability to to provide a high level of client service and coordination of activities to key stakeholders within insurance, redress or legal industries.
- Demonstrated ability to behave in an honest, ethical and professional way, and take personal responsibility for accurate completion of work, seeking feedback and responding positively to guidance.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining high levels of information security and confidentiality.
