Reporting to our Inventory and Purchasing Manager, this position is:Site Travel (Various Mine Sites)A permanent full-time position8 days on, 6 days off (8/6)ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing purchasing team.Strong decision-making, problem-solving and team motivation skills.Sound planning, organisational, and administrative skills with demonstrated effectiveness in developing systems, processes, and procedures to prioritise tasks and achieve goals.Interpersonal skills.Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously.High level of customer service skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders.High level of computer literacy, including experience using a purchasing and inventory management system.
Proficient computer skills are required.Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify errors and issues and develop effective and evidence-based solutions to problems.Desired Skills and ExperienceTo be considered for this role you will have the following skills & attributes:Australia-based candidateCurrent and valid Driver's licenceForklift licenceDemonstrated experience in managing and leading a team (desirable)Demonstrated experience in procurement and inventory management (minimum of 3+ years desirable)Understand best practice regarding inventory management, purchasing and dispatchUnderstand compliance requirements in relation to materials, inventory management chain of responsibilityExperience working with a computerised ERP environment, preferably Pronto and ThereforeA certificate in Warehouse and Supply Chain ManagementThe ability to pass a Pre-employment medical, including Drug and Alcohol screenExperience with Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word & ExcelExcellent presentation, organisation and communication skillsHave a strong work ethic and the ability to meet deadlinesWhy MLGSupportive and inclusive work environment with a friendly, positive team cultureReward and Recognition programsPromotes Diversity, Equality and Inclusion within all areas of the businessEmployee benefits such as Salary Sacrifice, Novated Leases and Remote site travelCareer progression into areas of interest within the businessDoes this sound like you?
