Closing on: Sep 28 2025.About The RoleAs a Catering Assistant, you will support the Chef / Chef Manager and peers in delivering a high quality catering service within the home.
The Support Worker – Laundry will support the delivery of a safe and clean laundry service for residents in alignment with appropriate standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCateringEnsuring the catering service is adhering to all regulatory and compliance requirementsCompleting all appropriate food safety record forms as per legislation requirementsEnsuring that all duties are worked in accordance with the Food Safety Program at all timesWearing uniforms, appropriate protective clothing and footwear whilst in the workplaceFollowing strategies in the Food Safety Plan to prevent cross contaminationPreparing daily meals including beverages for residents that meet the special dietary requirements as instructed by the Chef Manager or Chef/CookLaundryEnsure environmental service standards are met and maintained, and the residents living environment is safe and maintained to a high standard of cleanlinessCollect, sort, wash, dry, sort and distribute clothing and linen as per laundry instructionsEnsure adequate stocks of clean linen, towels and laundry skip bags are available in the designated storage areas in the homeFor further information please see attached Position DescriptionWhat you bringFollow Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate (Health Care Competencies)Experience in a similar role in residential care, health care or hospitality sectorsKnowledge and experience in safe food handlingA desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisationWorking knowledge of WH&S and Infection ControlKnowledge and experience in safe chemical handling (desirable)Commercial laundry experience (desirable)Experience in Aged Care (desirable)Why work for CalvaryAt Calvary, our staff matter.
