Job Title
Shape the Future of Emergency Services in South Australia, based in Adelaide.
About the Role
The South Australian Fire and Emergency Services Commission operates under the guidance of its Board and works with SA's fire and emergency service organisations to ensure that volunteers and employees within the emergency services sector are provided with the resources and support they need to carry out their vital work.
Develop a risk-based Emergency Management Framework for South Australia, enabling effective allocation of resources across the ESS.
Collaborate with the Chief Officers of the SA Metropolitan Fire Service, Country Fire Service and State Emergency Service.
This role will appeal to a dynamic, outward-focussed leader with relevant experience and expertise to support the Minister for Emergency Services and Correctional Services in discharging all legislative responsibilities as outlined in the Fire and Emergency Services Act 2005 (SA).
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a strategic policy framework supported by risk management strategies and systems.
Lead sector improvements and advancements, including Public Information and Warning Systems and the State Emergency Information Call Centre Capability.
Engage with stakeholders to support ESS capabilities.
Qualifications/Experience
A dynamic, outward-focussed leadership with relevant experience and expertise to support the Minister for Emergency Services and Correctional Services under the Fire and Emergency Services Act 2005 (SA).
