Skytech group is growing business seeking experienced individuals to join our team as Horizontal Directional Drill operators, Locators and Civil workers. If you are passionate about underground utility works and specialise in directional drilling, locating and civil works, this is an exciting opportunity for a chance to join a high preforming team with a great working culture and new equipment with the latest technologies on offer.

**In this role you will be responsible for**:

- Operation of Directional Drill, Mud Mixing Equipment & Tracking Equipment
- Planning & Setup of Bore Logs and Drilling Equipment
- Experience using vacuum excavation units, Tip trucks and excavators.
- Complying with Safety, Access and environmental requirements of stakeholders
- Interpreting BYDA plans and locating underground assets before works commence.
- Completing Pre-Start checks and forms.
- Maintenance of site vehicles and plant to ensure they are kept clean and in safe working order.
- Accurate reporting of drilling activities, including daily reports, job site documentation, and as-built drawings

**Requirements to be successful in this role**:

- Good and pleasant communicator
- Patience to teach, collaborate with and develop teammates.
- HR drivers' licence
- Experience operating Vermeer HDD 20x22, 23x30DR including Rock Drilling desirable but not essential.
- Experienced in using Digi Track F5 Falcon locating systems.
- Experience in reaming in diverse ground conditions
- Working with and around underground infrastructure communications, Water, Power and Gas
- Willingness to adapt to other tasks (if required) depending on workflow.
- Ability to Travel, work all over Melbourne, Regional Victoria or Living away from Home. (Bendigo (preferred), Ballarat, and Geelong ).
