**Job Description**:
We are seeking a team player with an ownership mindset to join our Corporate Development team. The Corporate Development Associate will be joining a small and collaborative team, reporting into the Head of Corporate Development, working closely with the CFO and CEO, focused on the execution of global M&A activities.
- The right applicant for this role will be someone who brings a foundation of analytical skills, including financial modelling, however is looking to develop further into the other day to day requirements listed below. We do not expect someone to bring every listed skill set, but the right foundations and desire to grow._

**What you do**

The role consists of supporting all aspects of the deal process, including sourcing, qualification, initial rationale/pitch, financial modelling, due diligence, document negotiation and closing activities.

Support all aspects of deal execution:

- Conduct key quantitative (all aspects of financial modelling, including but not limited to building 3 statement models, DCF valuations, synergies assessments and returns analysis) analyses
- Prepare presentations for the Executive Team and the Board in support of deal buy-in and approvals
- Conduct and / or lead key qualitative analyses and due diligence (e.g., strategic, operational, risk and technology, etc.)
- Lead and coordinate a cross-functional deal team within OFX, as well as third party advisors in support of deal execution
- Coordinate with external financiers to evaluate, structure and execute deal funding (debt and equity)
- Support document negotiation and closing activities

Support deal origination:

- Assist with market research, sourcing and pipeline management
- Assist with qualifying new ideas & companies for OFX

Support M&A strategy development:

- Conduct qualitative analysis, including but not limited to, inorganic strategy development, industry analyses, competitive positioning etc.
- Keep current on market trends, including but not limited to, transactions announcements, peer valuations; prepare ad hoc reports on market trends

**Qualifications**:

- 2-5 years in transactional roles including but not limited to Investment Banking (incl. bulge bracket, boutiques, Big 4 advisory) and/or Corporate Development
- Undergraduate or graduate degree

Required:

- Strong analytical skills, fluency in performing rigorous financial, valuation and broad quantitative analyses and familiarity with accounting & key operational metrics
- Team player, pro-active and action oriented, who enjoys ownership
- Excellent communication, judgment, maturity to work with executives
- Strategic thinker with desire to continuously learn / develop
- Desire to work in deals globally across a spectrum of small to large deals

Preferred but not required:

- End-to-end execution and management of deals
- Experience with financial services and / or technology
