
Service Manager Scientific Instrumentation

**Location**:Braeside, AUWe have a fantastic opportunity for a Service Manager to join our rapidly growing business. This position will be responsible for managing a team of engineers (Australia-wide) to ensure they are relevantly trained, are supporting customers in a timely and professional manner, and that installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation are to suppliers' standards. You will also be responsible for providing service and support to new and existing customers, for the range of products distributed by DKSH.
**Some of your duties will include**
- Manage service team performance and development to ensure we exceed customer and client expectations as well as supporting upskilling for professional improvement in the team
- Ensure that service jobs are executed on time and under optimum efficiency of resources and cost
- Manage allocated spare parts stock, for reducing losses and aged inventory costs
- Assist customers and DKSH Team on technical matters and product information. (This may at times include presentations and supporting pre-sale discussions)
- Provide training and aftersales support to customers as needed, to ensure customer satisfaction post-sale
- Travel locally, interstate, and internationally when required.
- Support superior day-to-day operations, process improvements, and team safety.
- Provide technical support to other DKSH Engineers with difficult or problematic issues requiring a more experienced level of knowledge.
- Ensure the performance, operations and service jobs comply with relevant standards
- Study new products/technologies aligned with existing product lines to recommend enhancements or modifications
**About you**
- You're a natural communicator, confident and engaging in your approach. You will have the opportunity to utilise your critical thinking and demonstrate your leadership skills with an ability to communicate effectively and maintain productive working relationships with clients, customers, internal stakeholders, and your team. You will possess the ability to collaborate with others through various levels of the organization. You have the confidence to manage challenging situations with customers, internal stakeholders, and your team. You are a role model leader. You have a tertiary degree in Engineering or Applied Science or a similar Technical Trade Background and experience in the scientific industry working with scientific instrumentation.
