Our purpose is to transition the world to a clean energy future.As Australia's only end-to-end provider of all renewable energy technologies, with proven experience integrating solar, wind, battery energy storage and green hydrogen into new and existing systems, we deliver industry firsts that are leading the clean energy transition.Be part of the solution We are looking for a Lead Engineer – Electrical, who will be responsible for providing technical and project support, including but not limited to overseeing electrical design, interfacing with multidisciplinary design teams, implementation and testing of high-quality engineering solutions using engineering practices, standards and tools.
As the Lead you will lead a team of graduates and entry level engineers to define and manage priorities against the available capacity of resources.Team and Engineering Delivery Set timelines for deliverables and encouraging regular iteration on deliverablesIdentify competencies, training and development plans for teamManage resource performanceDevelop, review, approve and submit technical or supporting documentation and technical specifications, including functional design specificationsLead the electrical design, change management and functionality developmentPerform engineering duties through the entire project life cycle (concept to commissioning), including engineering studies & reports, equipment specification preparation & selection and schematic & wiring designComplete design reviews and drawing mark-upsEnsure all work is completed to a high standard, on budget, on schedule and safelyManage and participate in design reviews – i.e., Safety In Design, HAZOP, CHAZOP, HAZID, CRAW and client design ReviewsResponsibilities Provide technical and project support, including overseeing electrical design, interfacing with multidisciplinary design teams, implementation and testing of high-quality engineering solutions using engineering practices, standards and tools.As the Lead you will lead a team of graduates and entry level engineers to define and manage priorities against the available capacity of resources.Lead the electrical design, change management and functionality development.Perform engineering duties through the entire project life cycle (concept to commissioning), including engineering studies & reports, equipment specification preparation & selection and schematic & wiring design.Complete design reviews and drawing mark-ups.Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, on budget, on schedule and safely.Manage and participate in design reviews – i.e., Safety In Design, HAZOP, CHAZOP, HAZID, CRAW and client design Reviews.Be this person A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, or related fieldStrong experience in an equivalent industrial areaSkills in project planning, budgeting, estimating, and cost control for electrical scope.Skilled in the organisation and management of staff, as well as performing a variety of administrative tasksStrong understanding of engineering principles and design processes involved in projectsStrong experience with the design and selection of power generation and/or renewable equipmentExperience in managing the requirements of technical persons in facilitating a project (engineering input and the management of engineering risk).
