BE part of the solution We are looking for a Lead Engineer – Electrical, who will be responsible for providing technical and project support, including but not limited to overseeing electrical design, interfacing with multidisciplinary design teams, implementation and testing of high-quality engineering solutions using engineering practices, standards and tools.
As the Lead you will lead a team of graduates and entry level engineers to define and manage priorities against the available capacity of resources.
BE part of the change To be part of the change this role will provide: Team Management Set timelines for deliverables and encouraging regular iteration on deliverables Identify competencies, training and development plans for team Manage resource performance Engineering Delivery Develop, review, approve and submit technical or supporting documentation and technical specifications, including functional design specifications Lead the electrical design, change management and functionality development Perform engineering duties through the entire project life cycle (concept to commissioning), including, engineering studies & reports, equipment specification preparation & selection and schematic & wiring design Complete design reviews and drawing mark-ups Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, on budget, on schedule and safely Manage and participate in design reviews – i.e., Safety In Design, HAZOP, CHAZOP, HAZID, CRAW and client design Reviews BE this person As part of the solution, you will have: A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, or related field Strong experience in an equivalent industrial area Skills in project planning, budgeting, estimating, and cost control for electrical scope.
Skilled in the organisation and management of staff, as well as performing a variety of administrative tasks Strong understanding of engineering principles and design processes involved in projects Strong experience with the design and selection of power generation and/or renewable equipment Experience in managing the requirements of technical persons in facilitating a project (engineering input and the management of engineering risk).
