We are looking for a
Lead Engineer – Electrical
, who will be responsible for providing technical and project support, including but not limited to overseeing electrical design, interfacing with multidisciplinary design teams, implementation and testing of high-quality engineering solutions using engineering practices, standards and tools.

As the
Lead
you will lead a team of graduates and entry level engineers to define and manage priorities against the available capacity of resources.

Team Management

• Set timelines for deliverables and encouraging regular iteration on deliverables
• Identify competencies, training and development plans for team
• Manage resource performance

Engineering Delivery

• Develop, review, approve and submit technical or supporting documentation and technical specifications, including functional design specifications
• Lead the electrical design, change management and functionality development
• Perform engineering duties through the entire project life cycle (concept to commissioning), including, engineering studies & reports, equipment specification preparation & selection and schematic & wiring design
• Complete design reviews and drawing mark-ups
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, on budget, on schedule and safely
• Manage and participate in design reviews – i.e., Safety In Design, HAZOP, CHAZOP, HAZID, CRAW and client design Reviews

BE this person

• As part of the solution, you will have:
• A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Strong experience in an equivalent industrial area
• Skills in project planning, budgeting, estimating, and cost control for electrical scope.
• Skilled in the organisation and management of staff, as well as performing a variety of administrative tasks
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design processes involved in projects
• Strong experience with the design and selection of power generation and/or renewable equipment
• Experience in managing the requirements of technical persons in facilitating a project (engineering input and the management of engineering risk).
