Elwood Bathers is a beachfront venue that boasts spectacular views and includes a restaurant, private dining room, events space, outdoor terrace, and bar area.

We are looking for an experienced, hands on, highly organised and creative Bar Manager to help lead our small team. We have a an extremely loyal and genuine group of regulars who flock to us for all occasions to enjoy our cocktails, wine, and extensive beverage selection which the Bar Manager is responsible for.

At Elwood Bathers, we always want to deliver for our guests - providing a spectacular setting, high quality food and beverages with exceptional service. To achieve this, we are looking for an experienced Bar Manager who is guest focused, motivated, driven and engaging to provide outstanding customer experience. This role is for a person who has worked in and thrives in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Day to day control of bar
- Costing, stock control and stock management
- Supplier relationship management and development
- Ordering and managing beverage COGS
- Manage a small team of bartenders
- Recruitment, rostering and training
- Cleaning, repair, and maintenance of bar and related equipment
- Bar menu costing, planning & development
- Maintaining systems and operations to ensure smooth running in your absence
- Look for ways to improve profitability and increase revenue

**Requirements**:

- Two years' experience as a Bar Manager or similar senior role
- Passion for the industry
- Extensive knowledge of beers, cocktails, and current beverage trends
- Wine knowledge preferred but not essential
- Strong people management and coaching skills to lead a high energy team
- Experience running large beverage program desirable, as maintaining a controlled inventory will be a key focus
- High level of personal grooming essential
- Strong computer literacy
- Team-orientated
- Outgoing, personable, and friendly personality
- Creative flair
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Available to work weekends, evenings & early mornings
