We are looking for male volunteers for our Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme, which aims to reduce loneliness and isolation experienced by older Australians.The roleAs part of our scheme, volunteers will spend one hour each week (minimum 10 weeks) with a small group of residents or individuals in aged care facilities.
The visits are relaxed and social.
We seek volunteers who have empathy for seniors and socially isolated people, and who are comfortable discussing news, current affairs, and other topics.
