Downer **Rail & Transit Systems (RTS)**, a leading provider of rail and transport asset management services across Australia has an exciting opportunity for a **Commercial Manager **to join our team and support our growth objectives.

The Commercial Manager is an integral part of the Downer Rail and Transit Systems (RTS) and form part of the HCMT Project Team. You will work on a thirty-year, billion-dollar contract. This role will be based in Collins St in Melbourne CBD with frequent travel to Pakenham and will support the operations team, reporting to the Project Director you will provide strong commercial management and business acumen.

You will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of driving successful commercial outcomes for the project by ensuring profitable terms and the minimisation of risk through effective contract management. You will also focus on the commercial delivery of a large manufacturing process to ensure to maximize profit and improve gross margin on site project delivery.

**About You**
- Tertiary education in Financial or Business discipline
- 5 -7 years experience in a similar commercial role within the construction or rollingstock environment
- Extensive experience in commercial and contract management and administration in complex/ high value contracting environment
- Proven experience managing a team and ability to work well under pressure and in a changing environment is essential
- Advanced problem-solving ability with attention to detail
