**About the opportunity**

We are currently seeking a Venue and Functions Assistant to join our Events Team on a casual basis. This role is primarily responsible for the ongoing support of setup and operations of functions and events at our function centres, and other events where required.

**Qualifications and experience**

**Essential**:

- Minimum 12-months of experience in a similar role
- Provide First Aid certificate
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- Solid working experience in:

- Cash handling
- Cleaning
- Room set up
- Stage setup
- Customer service.
- Strong understanding of and/or experience in hospitality (food and beverage) operations including front of house, kitchen and bar
- Experience working within a dynamic team environment
- Available to work flexible working hours during the week and on weekends.

**Desirable**:

- Fire Warden and Emergency Response.

**Remuneration and benefits**

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $35.9083 per hour plus 25% casual loading
- Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 12% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
