Port Augusta Port Augusta is 307 km from Adelaide and takes just over 3 hours
to drive or a short 50 minute flight from Adelaide.
The Port
Augusta office employs approximately 34 people and is one of six
offices in the region.
As a member of this office you will work
with other professionals to deliver services to Port Augusta, Iron
Knob, Roxby Downs, Woomera, Andamooka, Quorn, Leigh Creek, Hawker
and up to Maree (and everywhere else in-between).

Whyalla Whyalla is located 395kms North West from Adelaide on Eyre
Peninsula's Spencer Gulf or a short 30 minute flight from
Adelaide.
The town's population of 22,000 makes it the third
most populous city in the state of South Australia behind Adelaide
and Mt Gambier.

approximately 7 hours to drive.
Port Lincoln is situated on Boston
Bay, one of the largest protected natural harbours in the world

223 km north of Adelaide and has a population of just over 17,000
people.
The Council area includes the city of Port Pirie, a
historically significant city and busy commercial regional centre,
as well as the rural towns of Crystal Brook, Redhill, Koolunga,
Wandearah, Mundoora, Napperby and Warnertown.
The Port Pirie office employs approximately 30 people and is one
of five offices in the northern region.
As a member of this team,
you will work with other professionals to deliver child protection
services to children and families in the local community of Port
Pirie and surrounding areas.

Special Conditions Essential Qualifications: AHP – A degree level qualification in
Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the
Australian Association of Social Workers.
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not
have the essential qualification, may apply for and be
engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled
to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a
qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child
Protection (DCP).
PO – Appropriate degree qualification in
Community Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health or
related field.
About the Pool Should you be successful, you will be advised (in writing) that
you have been recommended onto this pool.
The pool will remain
active for 12 months and during this time you may be contacted for
an offer of employment.
You are not required to accept any or all
offers made to you, and DCP is not obliged to offer you any
opportunities.
