**How will I help?**
The vision of Westpac's Institutional Bank (WIB) is to create a nimbler, execution focused business generating superior performance through an engaged workforce. This role supports our vision by contributing to WIBs Financial Crime, Compliance and Conduct Division as part of the Monitoring & Surveillance Execution Team. You will play an instrumental role as a Monitoring & Surveillance Analyst working with sophisticated digital technology to conduct surveillance and monitoring activities of transactions and communications across our Financial Markets and Treasury operations.

You will be responsible for but not limited to:

- Reviewing and analysing all relevant data and provide a diverse input/perspective
- Assisting with developing the infrastructure that supports the efficient and effective delivery of digital trading monitoring, surveillance and risk identification within the financial trading markets
- Identifying and escalating concerns/risks as they relate to Regulatory requirements, Group Policies and Global Standards.
- Supporting ongoing improvement and refinement of the surveillance business processes and the automated monitoring & surveillance systems.

**What do I need?**

You will also possess:

- Significant financial markets knowledge
- Strong understanding of regulatory investigations and complex market misconduct analysis
- Exposure to trading and risk management systems or emerging Technologies. e.g. Broadway, IDD, Calypso, & DCPK.
