**About the role**
Working closely with site teams, and under the direction of the CDP Manager, the CDP Projects Specialist provides high level support to the CDP Activities for Generating Income program (AGIs), as well as coordinating and delivering on CDP strategic projects.
This role will utilize your skills in community engagement, community development, project management and evaluation to ensure a consistent approach across all CDP projects. Key to success in this position is a commitment to the ongoing development of local Indigenous team members to lead ALPA's service delivery model.
**_This position is based in Darwin and will require travel to remote communities. Travel may be by vehicle, small plane, or barge. _**
**Responsibilities**
- Liaise with CDP Site Teams regarding the conversion of mutual obligation activities into sustainable income generators for participants.
- Provide effective monitoring and evaluation of AGIs to assess viability of conversion into standalone enterprises.
- Provide wrap around support for new enterprises as they convert from AGIs.
- Liaise cross-culturally with a range of stakeholders in order to achieve strategic outcomes.
- Provide high level support to CDP strategic projects and events, including project planning, coordination and on the ground support
- Be a champion of ALPA values and demonstrate a commitment to work health and safety.
**Skills and Experience**
- Strong knowledge of the current CDP contract.
- Proven business development experience
- identifying and creating opportunities for sustainable business growth.
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Highly developed technical writing and project management skills.
- The capacity to link daily activities to the ALPA values and mission.
- An ability to obtain and maintain an NT driving license.
**Desirable**:
- Qualifications related to project management, business development or community services.
- Experience working with Aboriginal people in a remote environment.
