**Position Information**:
Riverside Girls High School is in scenic Huntley's Point, on the land of the Wallumettagal people, overlooking the historic Gladesville Bridge, with views spanning the Parramatta River towards Sydney Harbour.
At Riverside, we specialise in educating and shaping our creative, confident, independent young global citizens in an inclusive, single-sex learning environment that provides freedom and scope for all to thrive. There are 650 students at Riverside, with 58% coming from non-English speaking backgrounds. Our staff is committed to ongoing improvement in teaching and learning, with a particular focus on embedding explicit teaching into classroom practice to create a learning culture of high expectations. We also have an academically selective High Potential and Gifted Education Program and a rich co-curricula program providing extension opportunities for all students We have a strong reputation for excellence in academic, sporting and performing arts pursuits and maintain high standards in developing all students to be confident, independent, creative global citizens. We have strong community connections and will continue to foster engagement with universities and industry to seek authentic, real-world learning opportunities to enhance the learning experiences of all of our student.
**Selection Criteria**:
- Approval to teach students with learning and support needs (secondary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (secondary) in regular classes. Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students in regular classes with additional learning and support needs and their teachers.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff to support students with additional needs.
- Ability to implement small group and whole school programs to maximise learning outcomes for students with a focus on literacy and numeracy.
- Capacity to be a positive and proactive member of the learning and support team to develop individualised support for students, including coordination of NCCD and NESA disability provisions.
