JBS Australia's Southern Division, headquartered in Melbourne, has the largest multi-species processing facility in Australia, processing beef, sheep, and goats. JBS Southern processing facilities have access to all major international markets, providing our livestock suppliers with a range of markets and brand opportunities.

An exciting opportunity exists at our Beef City Plant for an experienced Skilled Meat Worker with either Boning, Slicing or Slaughtering Skills preferably (beef). We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual who is committed to providing an effective professional service.

The successful individual should be prepared to show leadership qualities and provide support across the business to drive a culture of continuous improvement.

This is a full time position with the potential to earn $54,000 or more with additional allowances and/or overtime.

**Responsibilities (includes but are not limited to)**:

- To adhere to Workplace Health & Safety and Quality procedures
- Ability to work within a team environment with the ability to take direction
- Good communication skills essential
- Demonstrated integrity and good presentation
- A professional work attitude
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Superior attendance
- Performing general Slaughtering/Boning/Slicing/Sawing duties
- High focus & attention to detail

**About you**:

- A minimum of 2 years' proven experience in Boning, Slicing or Slaughtering/Sawing duties required
- Relevant qualification (Cert 2/3 Meat Processing) advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge and understanding of different rotations
- Proven high level of knife sharpening skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Quality Requirements
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work with supervisors on improving daily duties
