**Responsibilities**
- Assume responsibility for forecasting and analyzing sub-national and country economies, acting as an expert for higher-profile countries.
- Assume responsibility for complex individual custom contract consulting projects and relationships with mínimal supervision.
- Works independently to create original research reports on forward looking topics for publication on the Economic View website.
- Assist with monthly forecast processes and take responsibility for quality checks for a broad range of components of the forecast.
- Responsible for equation estimation and model building, working independently but with final review by senior staff.
- May contribute to subscription product editing and participate in training of more junior economists.
- Participate in higher-profile media interviews, as necessary, in areas of expertise and the broader economy.
- Participate in webinars and live events for clients and third parties.
- Provide product demonstrations to clients.
- Supervise an Associate Economist and/or Economist 1 or 2, including day-to-day management and writing as well as delivery of performance evaluations.

**Qualifications**
- PhD in Economics or related field with less than three years of experience -OR- Master's degree in Economics or related field and five plus years of experience -OR- a Bachelor's degree and seven plus years of experience.
- Experience in macroeconomic analysis, technical writing, and econometric modeling software, and statistical analysis.
- Must be a motivated, responsible person who can work well with others independently of daily supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills are required to work directly with clients to fulfill scheduled customized products and to respond to any client questions.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and to supervise and train co-workers.
