Job Description About the RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced Senior Asbestos Analyst to join our high-performing asbestos team.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior role with a strong focus on technical excellence, mentoring, and continuous improvement.You'll play a pivotal role in conducting and reviewing complex asbestos identification and fibre counting, administering training programs, and driving method development and compliance in line with ISO 17025.ResponsibilitiesPerform and review complex asbestos identification in soil and bulk materials using PLMConduct and oversee fibre counting using PCM, ensuring precision and accuracyApprove and finalise analytical results and client reportsProvide expert technical support and advice to clientsLead internal and external training programs for junior analysts and clientsAdminister and contribute to proficiency testing programsDrive method development and improvements in asbestos analysisConduct internal audits and liaise with external auditors to maintain accreditation complianceMentor and support the development of junior staffMaintain strict adherence to WHS, NATA, and ISO 17025 standards Desired Skills and Experience About YouWe're looking for a highly experienced asbestos analyst who thrives in a technical role and is passionate about building capability in others.You will have:Minimum 5 years of experience in asbestos identification and fibre countingAdvanced expertise in PLM and PCMStrong understanding of ISO 17025 and NATA accreditation requirementsExperience in training and mentoring junior analystsExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementThe ability to communicate confidently and professionally with clients and internal stakeholdersAt Envirolab Group, you'll be part of a supportive team environment led by industry experts.
