As Senior Finance Officer, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality financial services that support the department's operations and statutory obligations.
Your work will include preparing annual financial statements, supporting whole-of government reporting, and ensuring month-end and year-end processes are completed accurately and on time.
You'll also manage key aspects of asset accounting, including maintaining the asset register, coordinating stocktakes, overseeing the asset revaluation process and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
Your day might include reviewing reconciliations, preparing journals, supporting Treasury reporting, or advising managers on accounting issues.
You'll also provide analysis and insight that supports decision-making, ensuring financial information is reliable, accurate and compliant.
With your strong technical expertise, you'll contribute to the development of policies, procedures and systems that strengthen financial governance and reporting practices.
The role requires attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and advanced capability with financial systems and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of Tier 1 ERP finance systems is highly desirable, as is a relevant accounting qualification with CPA/CA accreditation.
