Job descriptionFinancial Analyst | South Brisbane | $105,000 + Super | Permanent | HybridWe are working with a well-established and growing commercial business in their search for a talented financial analyst to join their finance team.
Based in Brisbane, this organisation is recognised for its strong market position, supportive leadership, and positive workplace culture.
As the business continues to evolve, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with operational leaders as a finance business partner, contributing to new initiatives and playing a key part in driving commercial outcomes.This position sits within a small, collaborative finance team and will suit someone who enjoys combining strong technical capability with a commercial mindset.
You will partner with stakeholders across the business to deliver meaningful insights, improve visibility over performance, and support informed decision-making at all levels.The role has a strong focus on management accounting, financial reporting, and business performance analysis.
You will be responsible for preparing monthly management reports, tracking financial performance against budget and forecast, analysing variances and trends, and building reporting tools to help the business better understand key drivers.
You will also contribute to project work, deep-dive analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, better data use, and stronger financial outcomes.You will act as a finance business partner to operational teams, building strong relationships with leaders across departments.
Your ability to present financial information in a clear, accessible way and to guide conversations with insight and context will be key to your success in the role.A solid working knowledge of Excel is essential, including Power Query, and you will need to be confident working with large and sometimes imperfect datasets.
The role will suit someone who is naturally analytical, curious about the story behind the numbers, and motivated to help the business find smarter ways of operating.Culturally, the team is grounded, collaborative, and supportive.

A background in commercial business is desirable, as is confidence working with Excel, Power Query, and tools such as Power BI.
