About the role
The Strengthening Hospital Responses to Family Violence Project is funded to build capacity and capability to staff in health services to provide optimum responses and outcomes for patients experiencing family violence whilst aligning the organisation to MARAM (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Management) to meet legislative requirements. The project provides a diverse range of professional opportunities including staff education, driving and promoting cultural change, policy development and review, embedding systems, event co-ordination, liaising and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and working together as a team to develop a project plan and implement initiatives to meet funding deliverables.

Essential
A tertiary qualification in Social Work, and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or another Allied Health Discipline as specified, or Psychology, Pharmacy or Nursing / Midwifery at Clinical Nurse Educator Level.
Ability to effectively present and train small and large audiences.
Experience working in the area of family violence and/or prevention of violence against women, and a demonstrated understanding of the theoretical frameworks applied to gender equality and family violence.
Experience and skills in provision of expert advice/guidance to other practitioners, to support their safe and effective performance of healthcare activities.
Understanding of project management methodology including planning, implementation and evaluation.
Ability to work effectively in both a team environment and independently.
Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
An understanding of the Eastern Health programs and organisational structure.
Experience working within healthcare and/or hospital settings.
A current Victorian driver's licence and ability to travel between Eastern Health sites.
Computer literacy (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Desirable
Experience in development and delivery of training in accordance with pedagogic principles.
Expertise in project management methodology including planning, implementation and evaluation.
Experience in delivery of complex projects.
Evidence of involvement in, and understanding of, principles of research and/or evaluation.
Relevant postgraduate qualifications.
