Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Family Violence Specialist to join our team in providing critical support to women and children experiencing family violence.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in social work, excellent leadership skills, and a demonstrated understanding of the complex issues impacting families affected by violence.

As a Family Violence Specialist, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with our team to provide comprehensive case management, leading projects that promote best practice, and contributing to the development of frameworks and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on family violence matters to internal stakeholders.
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic projects aimed at promoting best practice in family violence response.
  • Collaborate with external partners to identify and address systemic barriers to service delivery.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of training programs for staff and community members.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in family violence casework, project coordination, or policy development.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of the impact of family violence on individuals and communities.
  • Valid Victorian Driver's Licence | Working With Children Check | Police Check.
