Overview
Postdoctoral Researcher in Isotope Geochemistry (3-year fixed term, Level B).
The position provides Level B salary ($114,917 to $135,932 per annum) plus 17% employer superannuation.
The University of Adelaide invites applications for a 3-year postdoctoral position to study isotopic signatures of critical mineral ore systems, focusing on Australian field sites.
Responsibilities
Conduct research into isotopic signatures of critical mineral ore systems, with focus on Australian field sites.
Be a key member of the Australian Critical Minerals Research Centre and the ARC Training Centre in Critical Resources for the Future.
Supervise honours and postgraduate research students (where applicable).
Access advanced material characterization and geochemical/isotope facilities (e.g., Adelaide Microscopy, MASS) and collaborate with CSIRO, Geoscience Australia, and ARC Training Centre.
Qualifications
A PhD in geology, geochemistry or related field.
Established track record of publications in isotope geochemistry and/or critical mineral ore systems.
Demonstrated expertise in laboratory procedures for geochemical and isotopic analysis of geological materials.
Strong research track record in one or more of: critical minerals ore systems, economic geology, hydrothermal geochemistry, regolith geoscience.
Ability to build and maintain collaborations with university, government and minerals industry.
