We're evolving and we need people like you to bring new ideas, innovate and make your mark.Job Description9News Sydney is looking for an experienced and dynamic News Producer to join our fast-paced newsroom - working primarily on the Today Show News bulletins.You'll be responsible for crafting high-quality journalism content that informs, educates, and engages our viewers, covering stories that matter across Sydney, Australia, and the world.
You'll work alongside the Overnight Senior Producer and collaborate with a passionate team to bring impactful news to life.Day to day you will:Support the Overnight Senior Producer in creating audience-focused content.Research, develop, script, and edit news stories working alongside Today Show reporters.Identify compelling stories and angles that resonate with our viewers.Ensure content is accurate and legally sound.Contribute to the delivery of news across Today Show News and the 11.30am and 4 pm bulletins.Assist with rolling coverage during breaking news events.Operate in the control room environment to bring broadcasts to air.Manage multiple stories, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.QualificationsWhat we would like to see:Strong knowledge of news and current affairs.Experience in TV, radio, or other news media.Strong communication and broadcast writing skills.Creative, out-of-the-box thinking.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Understanding of media and broadcast law.Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.Adaptable to overnight shift requirements.Experience with desktop editing, Avid and ENPS systems, is highly advantageous.Additional InformationHow we workAt Nine, our flexible work options vary by role and team.
